As a Workflow Automation Specialist, you won’t be building websites or writing taglines, you’ll be building the systems behind the scenes that power modern operations. You’ll work alongside a curious and collaborative team of IT professionals, operations consultants, and automation experts to streamline processes and reduce friction for fast-moving clients in the tech, services, and creative sectors.

What You’ll Do

As a Workflow Automation Specialist, you will:

• Translate existing SOPs, process maps, and rough workflows into automated systems
• Build and maintain Process Street workflows, including conditional logic and AI-powered forms
• Design and deploy integrations using Zapier, Make, and possibly LangChain, Airtable, or Notion APIs
• Implement light RAG-style automations (e.g., using OpenAI/Cohere APIs via Zapier or Webhooks)
• Help manage and document workflows in a centralized system
• Test and QA automations to ensure reliable execution
• Recommend AI-first solutions to eliminate friction or reduce cognitive load

Tools You Should Know

• Process Street – Conditional logic, form design, automations
• Zapier – Multi-step zaps, webhook triggers, API connection
• Make (Integromat) – Advanced conditional workflows (bonus)
• AI Tools – OpenAI API, LangChain or other LLM chains (bonus)
• Docs & Ops – Airtable, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace

Must-Have Skills

• 2+ years experience in workflow automation, operations, or process engineering
• Portfolio of built automations or workflows
• High attention to detail — you test before things go live
• Ability to think in systems and translate “fuzzy” processes into structured automations
• Clear written communication and light process documentation skills
• Comfortable with no-code + low-code stacks

Bonus (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience automating AI-driven workflows (OpenAI, LangChain, Claude, etc.)
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines or agent-based task flows
• Experience with API calls, custom webhook logic, or scripting (JavaScript, Python)

Compensation

CAD $45–$70/hr, based on experience
(High-end for deep Process Street + Zapier + AI automation fluency)
